Overview

This camp is aimed at competent foilers looking to get into or progress their wave riding with Tom and Freds coaching. And those wanting to have a great time with a group make new connections and test each other.

Cape Verde or Cabo Verde, officially the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an archipelago and island country in the central Atlantic Ocean, consisting of ten volcanic islands.

Boa vista is a quiet island with a relaxed way of life the island moto is 'no stress'. The ocean is full of life, home to the 3rd largest reserve of turtles in the world. Whales, dolphins and countless other species of aquatic life can be found here. Previous and current water sports world champions are a tribute to the environment that serves as the perfect breeding ground for achieving peak performance in these arts.

the spot

We will be based next to the beach at the edge of the local town Sal Rei. At the spot the wind blows NE, offshore meaning the water is flat and ideal for learning. This also preserves the waves that break all the way down the bay apart from at the top where there is a small island that shelters the beach. There are also a few reef breaks we will take you too that produce some of the best waves in the world.

Each person will have their own individual apartment with wifi, kitchen and balcony. The apartments are situated around 100m from the beach.

Program

Every morning will start with breakfast at either a restaurant or in one of our apartments, we will discus the day and what we want to get out of it. After breakfast we will head to the beach to get set up, before getting on the water we will do a beach warm up. After the first session their will be a tech talk over lunch reviewing the session and the footage ready for the second session..

Depending on where the conditions are best we will move to the best spots. There will also be a couple of downwinders included provided we have the conditions and required level.
